Also having lots of trouble with slugs in your vegetable garden among the strawberries and vegetables? This slug mesh provides the solution! Slugs, particularly shell-less slugs, can cause a lot of damage to all kinds of crops.
Biological barrier
To prevent slugs from reaching your plot and to keep your crops intact, use the slug mesh. This 100% biological solution avoids the use of toxic slug pellets and other slug poisons. An ideal and animal-friendly solution.
How to install (roll width 50 cm):
Easily installed using wooden stakes 60-70 cm (buy these yourself at a DIY store or timber merchant, or for an even more sustainable option use reclaimed wood).
- Place a stake every 75-100 cm around your vegetable plot.
- Let the stake protrude 30-35 cm above ground level.
- Dig a small trench 5-10 cm between stake and stake.
- Place the mesh on the stake so that a maximum of 10 cm protrudes above the stake.
- Clamp the mesh between the stake and a piece of wood (which you screw in place).
- Stretch the mesh down into the trench and refill the trench.
- Fold the mesh that extends above the stake downwards on the outside.
Check regularly whether any slugs are trapped and remove them from your vegetable garden.
